where were you last night! My husband bought a windows xp professional cd by mistake and we were trying to make it display everything in english but we couldnt because.....it was in russian LOL.

I just needed to know what it said. Too bad they wont take the cd back cause its opened. Even though the sales dude put in a russian cd instead of an english that we paid for. What can you do...

Andri, you may still be able to take it back. Where did you get it? Places like Best Buy usually takes care of mistakes like that.

It was circuit city and they refuse to. Oh well, I guess I will cut my losses. No biggie! I know where not to shop next time :D

I have only English among my languages (hangs head in shame)..... I can read some languages when written down and get a reasonable translation back to english if that makes any sense.

My native is Russian,
I have fluent English can speak and read Italian and about 8 years ago could speak also French but now i am not so strong in it cos the lack of practice.

English (well, American according to the Brits.)

Emergency Latin - taught it for two years and made the students use simple phrases, so I know a little bit.

Emergency Chinese and Thai (taught there for a year and a half)

Thai: Sawatdee, khrawp! Pom chuh Mills, khrawp. Thailand ben tuk mak mak lah khon Thai jaidee. Yindee teedai rujak, khrawp. Pope gun my, khrawp.

(translation): Hello! My name is Mills. Thailand is very, very cheap, and the Thai people have a good heart. It's nice to meet you. See you later.
