Afternoon all,
I took my car over to the North and got a speeding fine. I only found out when I came over the nicosia crossing again and was told by the custom lady. I promptly paid it and kept my receipt. However every time I go through for a visit I have to show it and they look very confused at the receipt that I have now laminated so it doesn't disintigrate. They always accept it and allow me to move on but it normally involves phone calls and a 20min delay holding up the queue. They say they haven't the power to remove it but don't tell me what to do...
Any advice greatly appreciated
You are dealing with crooks and criminals in the occupied areas. There is no such place as 'The North', it is illegally held by invading Turkish forces.
By going that side you are supporting the occupation regime, preventing 200,000 GCs that are waiting to return to their homes and insulting the memory of the GCs that were brutally murdered when Turkey invaded in 1974.
Do you really expect and legality in this fine business??!

Idiotic Turk with the IQ of a snail... are you crying about the treaties your community declared “null & void”, abandoned, and went on to totally violate with the creation of a separatist state?
Insert foot in mouth...
