From the start it was obvious that some on the forum just hated Israel. I always advocated that Cyprus needed powerful nations as friends, critisized those who felt that making friends with insignificant nations, Cuba comes to mind , somehow helps our cause.
Fuck morality, Im a realist above all else.
The late President Makarios also aimed making friends with nations that could offer Cyprus SFA. Big mistake.
We need to put our superficial " morals" aside and put our own interests above all else. I can see you share GR's views on this issue. Stop dreaming that your " morals" will somehow strengthen Cyprus case.
Only powerful, meaningful alliances will.
What do you think the Palestinians in general would do to Israel if they had the power ?
Are they not commited to annihilating the state if Israel ? How about the Iranians, would they be hesitant in annihilating Israel?
Wake up boy.
First of all grow up and behave according to your age old boy, and stop verbally fucking the air around you. You may think it’s funny and appropriate for any boozer to explode like that but in reality you make a fool of yourself each and every time you repeat it.
Secondly save your political lessons for the political discussions in this forum. This topic is about human suffering, not about politics but since you insist in linking it to politics there you go:
For a start I’d bet you wouldn’t know where to start from if this discussion was political.
Just answer this simple question to convince me I am wrong in assuming you are just an ignorant who only knows how to hang from known clichés:
Did Israel have the right to exist in 1930, yes or no?
I already told you what our interests with Israel are. Was it so difficult for you to understand?
Of course I agree we should align our interests with the big powers, and I totally agree that our Government already gave the contracts for the hydrocarbons to American, French, Italian et al companies because those companies are those who control their nations’ policy on the first place. Israel by itself cannot do anything to serve our own interests, in fact all they care is how to get the most out of it as they already did by raising claims to pay them 5% of what we get from the Aphrodite block.
The question with the suffering of the Palestinians and this topic in particular is not political but humanitarian and moral.
But since you still insist in turning it to political may I remind you that the only reason the Arabs support us in the Islamic summit is because of our support to the Palestinians. Imagine losing that support -and we may lose it if we continue this silly alliance with the Israelis- do you have any idea how many Islamic countries would go ahead and recognize the occupied? Are you that myopic of the consequences?
You keep on asking me silly questions like "What do you think the Palestinians in general would do to Israel if they had the power ?"
It’s not a matter of
what but a matter of
why they would do that. And you cannot answer the why without looking at what happened ever since the Jews started immigrating en masse to Palestine. More about it in the upcoming topic about the creation of Israel
Did you google Zionism as I suggested earlier? Obviously not.
Well in short, the agenda of that group of extremists was to establish a state for the Jews using all possible, and even evil ways. Not "Israel" per se, that name was invented much later. Believe it or not o
ne of the first targets for a Jewish state was Cyprus. Now that you learned this little secret how about thanking the Palestinians for saving your Paradise Island old boy?
