Vivaldi

Get Real: Another one for your appraisal.

You can download and get some great ideas.

This is the Vivaldi Browser. It's even got all the page actions like Black and White just like the Classic but the uniqueness of this browser is that you can stack tabs and split screen. No pop ou video though like Opera.

All the Opera fanboys also like Vivaldi because the founder of Opera is there.

I’m aware of it… it’s a Chrome clone. I’m sick and tired of all these shameless individuals who just plagiarize Chrome.

They shamelessly use Chromium’s built-in interface, just change colors, add a new logo... and think they’ve invented a new browser!

If you want to. You can use it however you like or as a back up to your daily driver.

Or you use different browsers for different things. For instance, Opera is best with media files and streaming plus multitask.

Vivaldi is also a good multitasker.

People wo download these browsers are usually internet misfits that actually like to control how they surf the internet and who are conscious of cookies, trackers and advertising.

Yours is a Chromium clone too!

The developer of Vivaldi is the founder of Opera when it was run on a Blink engine.

Nope, a developer can use Chromium for rendering-only (which is what I do) or *EVERYTHING* (like Vivaldi) which includes a ready-made interface!

I can create a Vivaldi over a weekend.

I've been using Vivaldi and Opera and what I like about them both is mouse gestures and shortcuts. I have configured so that both have the same rules or actions.

But Vivaldi is interesting because you can stack tabs, then tile them on your screen, into halves, quarters and so on. Also, you can take notes, and do screen captures.

It doesn't have VPN, or Battery saver or an inbuilt add blocker like Opera does. So you have to download an extension.

The interface is very clean and crisp.

If you can create a Vivaldi, you should get on with it, because you will get a lot of users.

Vivaldi and Opera are a work of art. Your's is an ugly little critter that only Mum can love.

Anyone with some programming experience can...

Look, you can get the bare-bones ready-made Chromium browser from here…

https://www.chromium.org/getting-involv ... d-chromium

And then just change its colors, change the logo, add a feature or two and call it a “new browser”!

You can get it up and running in about 10 minutes and then a couple of days for some fine-tuning…

This is what all these shameless plagiarists are doing.

I know about Chromium, but I don't like it. It's bare bones and just too simple and doesn't offer any bells or whistles. You ar better off using Chrome in my opinion.

I actually like all the Vivaldi tweaks and customisations and functionality and I like Opera even more because of its functionality.

But both are good and a lot better than Chrome, Mozilla and Chromium in my opinion.

Although, Chromium is good for the speed. It's bare bones. And so simple.
