Whether that particular means of 'certifying' code as 'safe' is a scam or not really is missing the point. I have not researched what options there are to do such because I am not someone with some 'hobby' software I have written who has hopes that more and more people will give it a try. You can ignore what I am saying, you can carry on as you are and that is all fine with me. If you do just carry on as you are and you ever reach a density of users of your browsers such that sheer numbers alone overcomes, for me, the inherent potential security risks involved in trying your browser then sure at that point I may, when I have time and out of curiosity, give it a try. If you expect me to give it a try before that time, should it ever arrive, then for me something like the link I gave would be needed. Do as you like, I really do not care.

They’re all scams… they’re all saying:

“Pay me money so that I may approve of you!”

If you find that sort of deal trustworthy for users, I pity you…

Not addressed to me but if you want to know why for me I have issues of 'trusting' your browser software, on top of the inherent risk of just executing code on my PC directly that I have already covered, and indeed why you actually start in many ways, for me, at a trust level lower than a total stranger, it would be what I consider your somewhat 'laissez faire' attitude generally to professionalism and privacy, as shown in your 'confessions of a PC fixer' series of posts. That and your general 'clownish' persona as far as I perceive it from how you behave on this forum over many years and from having met you once in person.

It's clear for me that you are collecting information about everyone who visits your site, downloads your browser or uses it.
Who gave you the right to learn what anyone's operating system is, at which folder in his computer it was installed etc etc??
There are computers that install in usersName/Programs.
The folder in my computer regarding USERS has my REAL NAME.
Do you think I would ever be stupid enough to download your browser?

1st link:
That’s my standard Awstats log simply telling me which browser visitors are using by percentage.

2nd link:
Come again?

The OS, browser, time, date, bot/human, are standard visitor stats in Awstats that everyone uses... in fact there are far more sophisticated stat programs than Awstats on every website.

 WTF you taking about...

I have no idea where people install... my browser doesn't "phone home" like the ones you're using.

It’s the privacy-violating browsers you are currently using (Edge/Chrome/Opera/FF) you should be worrying about, Pyro. They ALL phone home… mine doesn’t.

Believe it…

a)Yet this one here contains the full path:
The_Classic_Browser_v1.5_running_under_Windows_10.0\xe3\x83\xbd(^\xd0\x94^)\xef\xbe\x89
b)you never explained how you knew Piratis has downloaded your browser when Sotos asked.

And c)You just admitted you do collect information.

Whether that's less than what other browsers collect is irrelevant.
You claim you are providing a browser which guarantees 100% privacy. You just trashed the main reason anyone would want to use it.

That is the wrong question. The right question is

Is this piece of unknown to me code more likely to not have 'malware' in it if it has a certificate than if it does not have any such certificate ? The answer is yes it is more likely to not have malware if it has such a certificate. You can choose to pay in order to be able to present your code as less likely to contain malware or not as you wish and that is for you a deal and you can take it or leave it. For me there is no deal involved, there is just the probabilities that a given piece of unknown to me code does or does not have malware in it.
