And that’s what destroys the British government’s claims… you don’t need anything else.
If there’s one thing we can conclude from this story is that none of the world’s top agencies were involved in it or the job would’ve been completed/successful.
The British government’s mistake/downfall was allowing the Skripals to live and that blew their cover.

If it was Mossad, I grant you they wouldn’t be so stupid. And the targets would be dead and there would be no bodies either.
Russians however and North Koreans are a lot more clumsier with the evidence they leave behind. Probably because they don’t care or need to be as careful because they know no one is going to believe their version of events anyway with or without proof which makes a big difference.
Oh and I bet Cypriot Agencies are not as well trained either.
Mossad for instance started out hunting NAZIs in Latin America, Asia, America and Australia so that is why these are the guys that set the bar as far as professionals go. They were operating under the noses of the NSA, CIA, and ASIO who were protecting the NAZIs because some of them were protected species and valuable. So they had to be good or else.
