Vladimir Putin decisively re-elected as Russian president – preliminary results

Incumbent Russian leader Vladimir Putin is set to secure a resounding victory in the Russian presidential election, according to partial results made public by the electoral commission.
Vladimir Putin is now leading with 75.15 percent of the vote, well above the simple majority needed to avoid a run-off.

The early results are in line with exit-polls conducted by Russian polling agencies FOM, which predicted Putin would take 77 percent of the vote, and VCIOM, which forecast a final share of 73.9 percent for the current president.

Ella Pamfilova, head of the Russian Central Election Commission, has said that there were no major violations during the vote, and that only “minor and local complaints” were received.

Shortly after the first results were announced, Vladimir Putin addressed his supporters at a massive anniversary rally in Moscow’s Red Square, marking Crimea's reunification with Russia, and talked to reporters in his election campaign HQ. He thanked his backers and answered questions on the hottest political issues.

Putin was first elected to the Kremlin in 2000, and again four years later. Constitutionally barred from serving more than two consecutive terms, he did not run in 2008, the same year presidential terms were extended from four years to six years. Putin won 63.6 percent of the vote in 2012, and, if the early results are confirmed, he will now stay in his post until 2024, the year he turns 72.

Apparently Russian Exit Polls had Pootin in at 107% which is absolutely phenomenal.

Only Pootin can do that!

In one of my posts sometime back I expressed my views which were based on talking to Russian people , face to face regarding their feelings towards Putin. They not only liked Putin but loved him.
Recent election victory of Putin confirms that he is indeed a leader that the Russian people like and respect.

Western propaganda is getting more bizzare as the UK FS- this stands for fucking stupid- compares Putin to Hitler !!!
The Clown - the FS- is seen amongst Russians as an unruly school boy and an absolute buffoon, which of course he is.

Didn't some one on this forum compare the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour to the so called Russian chemical....attack ??
By the way, the Pearl harbour attack caused the death of more than 2300 US troops with over 1100 injured as well as the loss of many ships. The ....Russian...attack has not as yet cause a single death.what a stupid comparisson !!

Bullshit he is loved.

He is more feared than anything and no one credible ever dares to stand against him because if they did, and would get any close to knocking him off the perch, then they are as good as DEAD with an isotope of 2 in their tear or is it a Nerve Agent?

Just ask any Russian of this.

You have only asked some Belorussians, They do not live under their rule. It's like asking some Cypriots of they like Greece. 80% will say they do.

He is comparable to Hitler, his rebels shoot down a Malaysian Airliner, and he denies it. He sends an navy Armada to Australian Waters during the G20 to threaten Australia and inflict maximum embarrassment whilst he is in Australia. He annexes Crimea. before that he invades Georgia and South Ossetia.

he isn't a leader at all. he is destabilizing the planet, especially the EU and he is behind Turkey obstructionist designs against the Cyprus Oil and Gas Drilling. So many people are going to find out the hard way.

Do you really believe all that rubbish you spin? Do the election results not demonstrate that you are clearly wrong? Before you regurgitate the same old propaganda over and over again I think you should do a bit of research. You must have the same advisors as Boris Johnstone and nobody believes him either!

Not one reference you have made to blaming Russia has yet been fully investigated and assessed under International Law. It is just accusations that people like you proliferate in your ignorance!
