My views on civic nationalism

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

My views on civic nationalism

Postby lonewolfcypriot » Tue Mar 06, 2018 2:49 am

Civic nationalism is the idea that a nation does not belong to any specific group of people and boils down the concept of a nation to being about values and laws.
First of all, I simply have to disagree with this premise. What is a club if everybody can become a member? A nation is much more than just a passport or a piece of paper. But that's my opinion.

Marxists hate themselves and everyone around them, and they don't even realise it.

Yes, but if a guy called Levent Yildiz came to you and said "I am Cypriot and I would die for my island country" would you accept him as one?
