Born 26th February 1938, murdered by the 'Brits' 27th February 1956 when they hanged him for a crime he did not commit.
Read his case history on 'Wikipedia' and do not allow the passage of time to erase the memory of this young Cypriot.
How nice of the 'Brits that they allowed him to spend his 19th birthday contemplating his death the next day, another evil credit to them perhaps ?.
Evagoras would now be celebrating his 80th birthday had he been treated (as the young man should have been) with respect and dignity.
There are still those who remember him as a youth, there are those who can imagine him as an old man, bless them ALL.
The 'Informer' (who led the authorities to his arrest for 'Blood Money') may still be among us, let it burn him, one hair of Evagoras would outweigh his life.
God Bless his memory and may those of his surviving Family (where'ere they may be) be also blessed on this tragic day
