Mr H, The Turkish Cypriots have always wanted more power and territory of Cyprus than their numbers deserve. Do the maths, you are a minority. You gladly accepted Turkey's help in forcing the former colonial power into giving you rights that were disproportionate to your numbers. Turkey took you for mugs and illegally took control of the north; and now you quote Talat who appears to blame the Greek Cypriots for the colonisation of the north and the dwindling number of Turkish Cypriots. If your offered the GCs a "deal" that was in line with your legitimate population then I'm sure the Cyprus Problem could be solved but you still demand more of Cyprus and its controlt than you are entitled to.
You want what Turkey has gained for you but you want to be free of its yoke, its no surprise that you want Turkish troops to stay so that you can keep your ill-gotten gains but unfortunately for you the troops mean Turkey still controls you.
You need to make up your minds what you want, do you want to be a legitimate minority in Cyprus or an extinct people in an unrecognised pirate "State"? Make up your minds.
