I have shipped a number of cars to Cyprus including my own which I drive now and as I have owned the car for many years, 6 months being the required ownership for duty free status. Should I however wish to sell my car I would have to pay the import duty. Bring your car here, but if its bigger than 2000cc and you intend selling it in a year the duty would be substantial. I have over many years shipped many cars to Cyprus and paid the duty as these cars were intended to sell on. You can make a good profit. This month I helped a friend bring over a Mercedes E200, 1996cc. The duty was 2453 euros, the purchase price from the UK £4795. The car is 10 years old and tota cost including shipping under 8000 euros. Still a lot cheaper than Bying in Cyprus.
