If you ever plan to live in Cyprus it’s a problem that won’t go away until you reach about 50, so you’d better deal with it on your terms early on and get it over and done with.
My Greek spelling was atrocious so I used Latin characters to write things down and nobody complained during boot camp. After that if you plan to remain a private there’ll be nothing to write down anyway.
You just gotta decide if you want to do uni first or the army first and act accordingly. If it’s uni first and you’re over 18 you should pay YEFF a visit, or the Ministry of Defense to solve all your queries and get the procedure started.
It’s ok to do uni first but you should inform them and they’ll advise on how to get a postponement of your military obligation.
