If our flag and folk songs were different would it make any difference? And even if some TCs helped eradicate malaria, wouldn't malaria be eradicated anyways at about the same time? A far more serious problem for Cyprus is the Turkish expansionism... the Turks have killed 10s of thousands of Cypriots and are still illegally occupying 1/3rd of Cyprus. The Turks are a far bigger problem to Cyprus than Malaria. Therefore, if you add your small contributions and you subtract the massive damage you have caused then your net contribution is negative. We would have been FAR better off if the Turks had never set foot on our island. I am sorry if what I say sounds harsh... if you had finally changed and agreed to a truly free and democratic Cyprus then there would be no reason for me to talk about the past. But unfortunately the Turks remain as aggressive and harmful today as they were in 1570.

I think you are the biggest victims but you don't even realize it due to nationalism and you continue to help Turkey with its plans for Cyprus. The only reason we have conflicts is because your minority was (and is) manipulated by Turkey (and UK in the past) as part of their divide and rule practices in Cyprus. They exploited your fears and your greed to turn you against the majority of the population. TCs should fear Turkey much more than they should fear us. The TCs could be the 18% of Cypriots, with a proportional say in a democratic, European Cyprus, but blind nationalism is leading them to become the 0.15% of Turkey, a country which is becoming more Islamic and is turning into a dictatorship. If you don't realize this very soon then your community will cease to exist within the next 2 generations. Most of you will emigrate abroad, and those that remain will become a minority even in the north and will be assimilated by the Turkish Settlers. So yes... we should build a better future, and a better future can not be based on segregation and discrimination based on language and religion. It should be based on democracy, human rights and respect to our cultural differences along with all the other EU principles.

Those idiots living in Cyprus that are 100% sure that they are Greek should form a group and file a class action lawsuit against the government of Greece for failing to protect and liberate them from the Turkish invader.
