TRNC to open the Maras with Turkey and U.S backing!

Piss on the information I give to you all you like as you know I am telling you the truth and what will happen. I told you about the crossing points, told you how the EU will sink your side, told you about the TRNC's upgrading to member status at the OIC, and also told you about the Maras being re-opened. Trust me when I say that you don't want the news about Ercan Airport being recognised as a Turkish airport until a comprehensive settlement is secured! I will pre warn you on that one!

What does “to open” mean? :)

Do you think it’s a park with rides that you can open and close at will?

Don’t waste your time with stupidities posted in Turkish media.

Varosi, cannot be “opened” under any circumstances. It can only be demolished and rebuilt after a tremendous long-term effort involving billions of dollars.

Apparently they want to open Varoshia and allow the maronites who used to live there return under Turkish cypriot administration.

Now, why the children of Christian maronites would return and become rayades to a fake government is beyond me.

:? Return to what?

Where’s the section they have cleared and rebuilt to 21st century standards so as to accommodate families?

You can’t even take a shit there… after half a century of neglect there’s no working sewerage system even!

The Turks are talking through their backsides as per usual.

This is the most logical question anyone thinking of returning would ask themselves. Then consider moving to a tinpot illegitimate regime. When they contemplate this, their answer will probably be the same as yours and they will come to the same conclusion. The Turks are talking out of their stinking rear orifice and will try in one way or the other to make it look like the Greek Cypriots are the ones that dont want a solution,

Varosha an uninhabitable wasteland that requires demolition and billions of dollars worth of investment to make it habitable again. So there is nothing there to return to unless you want star in a Bear Grylls vs the wild type reality show controlled by some backward Islamists.

This offer must come with full compensation and fall under the illegitimate tinpot regimes administration.

It’s an extremely dangerous place too… there are leftover mines, bullets, rockets, and bombs here and there.

There are collapsed staircases, brittle glass that’ll disintegrate at the touch, exposed asbestos fibers, rusty cars and white goods that become death traps for children, overgrown roots that have raised roads and houses, and Mother Nature of course like snakes, rats, and foxes living there!

No sane government would allow its citizens to go there.

The Turks *had* a bargaining chip for the first 10-15 years while the town was salvageable, but no more.

Yeah, talk is cheap, money rebuilds towns.

Do they think its as simple as removing some barbed wire fence and the maronites will be stampeding to go there under their administration. This is as thick as two turkish planks.

The Maras will be opened bit by bit, like how the TRNC has being doing so over the last few years, but faster! The Palm Beach Hotel is fully operational. If you knew your way around the place properly from the Northern Turkish Cypriot End you will have noticed the many building and roads that have been pulled in and redeveloped by EMU - the University! So stop bitching and start looking at the reasons why the TRNC is able to do this, and why the Maronites have been chosen! Stop kidding yourselves and look at the REALITY of the ground, which is clearly a practicality you Greek Cypriots tend to miss - and have missed since 1963!

Also, I recently covered Turkey's IDEF 17 Military Exhibition, which I must say and highly recommend you watch the following (particularly the start of it with the introduction by George Feldman)! According to the coverage I have overseen as a senior journalist over the years in the TRNC, Turkey's military capabilities, and it's complete re-positioning in and around Northern Cyprus in particular has lead me to believe that a Military option is definitely on the cards. Perhaps not a full scale one as that wouldn't be needed against the tiny Greek Cypriot enclave seeing that it will be your dumb leaders whom will instigate a conflict, but definitely a very precise and effective slap in the face by Turkey in the near future due to the Gas-Hydrocarbon affair:
