When are you going to get it into your thick heads that Turkey will never join the EU, the EU accepting the Greek Cypriot controlled part of Cyprus was like Enosis with Greece for us, and 1974 was the END and the start of a new beginning with which Turkey has proven until now. Turkey promised that the TRNC was now ours forever, and it sure has been the case.
Greek Cypriot rejection of Turkey's inherited rights of the treaty of guarantee and alliance will always be there to haunt you 100 years more from now until the day you either recognise the TRNC or sign an Amicable and agreed Federal plan based on Equality. Kikapu, stop blaming Turkey and learn and understand why the UN can never build up an army of nations against Turkey's so-called occupation as you know the true reasons what legally keeps Turkiye on the island. Look within yourself and stop spreading false ideologies. Understand what compels the Greek Cypriots to forcefully sit around the negotiating table decade after decade. Understand why the Greek Cypriots couldn't wait to join the EU without our Turkish CYPRIOT participation. And, above all, UNDERSTAND HOW THE GREEK CYPRIOT GOVERNMENT JUST CAN'T SEEM TO VIEW US AS TURKISH CYPRIOTS AND LIFT THEIR OBJECTIONS IN ISOLATING US, USING TURKEY's ACTIONS AS AN EXCUSE AND VEIL IN KEEPING US DOWN LIKE THEY DID IM THE 1960s and the events that lead to the 1974 peace operation which Britain strongly advocated.
WAKE UP and back your people's struggle and stop lying to yourself. Dig deep and understand the sacrifice our people were willing to give up with the accepting the Annan Plan in 2004, which fell very short of our expectations too.
Go and pull out the Annan Plan and read it properly and understand where Cyprus would have been today if the Greek Cypriot were as fair and bold enough as us to have accepted it.
But that's all gone, and we are still ISOLATED .....The Greek Cypriots had their chance and blew it then, and once again blew it again with Akinci. If Turkey had bad intentions to take the entire island, trust me it would only take them an afternoon to do so and nothing would stop them. But, we all know that Turkey has no such intentions as it's evident that the Turkey of Today, unlike Greece, is prosperous economically and in business because it chooses sees the future in Business collaboration. While Greece is a pit over run by EU bearucracy and 100 years of debt. Choose your words and path carefully. Especially from now on and the TRNC will soon be adopting a new vision and path. Hence, why we are soon to open the Varosha. Those old days are gone, history, finished. Welcome to 2017 and not 1974.

I support Cyprus and all Cypriots equally and will never support partition or the "trnc". You want the TCs and the north to be controlled by Turkey, then go ahead, as it is you who is being a traitor to your country and your people and what it means to be Cypriot, because in time, under Turkeys' rule in the north, there won't be any TCs left, or their culture. They will be swollen up and you will become a Turk, and under Erdogans' rule and his family once he is gone, the future generation of those living in the north will be to study Jihad vs. being part of the European culture. The north will always be associated with backward looking Turkey with a dictator at the helm, a dynasty by Erdogan family, or Sultan, what ever you want to call it. Bring Islamic laws to the north , to even perhaps stoning women to death for adultery and cut off hands for stealing, and cutting off heads for other crimes. Yes, you are right, neither the north nor Turkey will ever get into the EU, and all I can say is, thank God.
Annan Plan was much worse than what the present settlement would have been, and if Turkey has no intention of controlling all over Cyprus, then why didn't they remove the guarantees, intervention rights and the troops? And no, Turkey cannot just take over the whole island militarily as easy as you think it can. What Turkey want's is to have Intervention rights and Turkeys' puppet TC president of Cyprus on a rotation basis, so to create a false flag to create problems where the puppet TC president would invite Turkey to intervene again, this time all over the island.....legally. Not going to happen MrH. There never be a settlement where Turkey would maintain intervention rights and a TC president of Cyprus both at the same time. It will be like water and oil, they do not go together.
