Postby AlphaM » Thu Jul 20, 2017 7:55 am

I want to go to the hospital and do a (full health check up) meaning i want to test everything from head to toe (blood, allergies, intestines, eyes, ears, etc) you get the point

When i go to the hospital What do i tell them there if i want to do that?

I don't think you will get that sort of medical check-up done at the General Hospital. Your best bet is to find a Private Doctor (General Surgeon) or go to a private clinic and ask them.

If you want your eyes tested thoroughly I would recommend Pantheo Eye Centre, will cost you E50.

You need to visit a GP at the hospital and tell them what tests you want. The cost will depend on whether you are entitled to "free" health care or not.

When I say "free", there are small charges such as €3 to see the doctor, €6 to see a specialist, €0.50 for each distinct test on your blood, so basically peanuts.

If not entitled to "free" health care, the fees are closer to those of private clinics.

What my friend CBBB says above plus… be prepared for long agonizing queues every step of the way.

That’s the worse thing about it and enough to make you unwell even if you started off fine!

Even if you are entitled for free health care it doesn't mean they will make for you every test you ask. You will see the doctor and the doctor will decide if you need to have any checks done. If you want a full health check without any particular reason then you will probably have to pay a lot of money for it.

Do you have a medical card? If you don't have one, go to a private hospital...

You can do many routine checks using home test kits. Amazon supply most.
