There are many opportunities, if the resource is found to be profitable to settle the regions political dysfunction. It is not possible for anyone of the players to go it alone, and maximise the returns on their investment. Cyprus is an easy pick as a partner, they have shown the capacity to cooperate, and to move the project forward, not just with Israel, with Egypt, and of course, Greece. Turkey counts on the details in Law which remain unclear; as she claims the Continental shelf for herself. But, the expertise to demonstrate this ability, to exploit the resources, she would have to buy not having it already; who would service to her needs under these circumstances?
Imagine, as allies, partners, Cyprus, Greece, Israel, Egypt and Turkey, today. Italy, Lebanon and Syria would not be far, even a Palestinian State, in joining.
