SPEAKER: KATIE DEMETRIOU
OBSERVATIONS OF ISS AND JUPITER
Come to KITION Planetarium’s “Science Café” on Saturday 17th June and learn about the exciting and recent discoveries made by NASA about Saturn’s moon Enceladus. Could there be life hiding under the intriguing moon’s icy crust? What is so special about this small moon orbiting around a gas giant millions of kilometres away from us and why should we care?
The session will begin with a lecture on Saturn, and it’s special moon by Space Scientist, Katie Demetriou. It will be followed by an open discussion on the possibility of life in our solar system and the implications that may arise by research in astrobiology. You will also have the opportunity to make astronomical observations of the majestic Jupiter with its dynamic atmosphere and its own interesting moons.
Join our Spacewalk!
The session begins at 20:30.
