I feel really stupid asking this, but being a complete computer fool:

How do you reply with a "quote" from someones post?

Please, all answers in computer idiot language

Look at the top-right corner of any post - see there small button with the word "quote" on it? Click on it.

I click on the "Quote" button, highlight justpart of the line, but get the whole text!! What am I doing wrong please?

i really dont know what you do wrong.
you highlight sth then you press quote.

btw are you doing the whole process, after you have pressed : "post reply" or do you just press to quote on the post of someone else?
