This is what happens when Turkey wants to play Russia against USA so that she can benefit from both sides, but the danger is that she can also lose from both sides when playing the role of a whore.
And the best thing of all, is that Greece's Typhoon program is going ahead with full steam. they are going to double their order to 40 now, 24 of which are brand spanking new aircraft.
And, it also looks like Greece may order 24 F-35s. Small number yes but what usually happens is that they will continue to order more Typhoons and F-35s as funds become available. They are expensive planes, especially the F-35.
So the way things are panning out, a few years ago we were fearing turkey was looking to unsurp Greece in air superiority over the Aegean. it looks like Greece now will have the edge over Turkey with its Typhoons and hopefully F-35s also to come.
But what is interesting and Ill be looking at closely is what happens to the Russian S300 Cyprus bought and are in Greece. Or whether Lockheed will have concerns with Turkish S400s on the Turkish coast.
Turkey's gamble appears to have backfired though.
