It's a continuing Blog/Diary about a guy who's come home after a very long time. I've enjoyed it and couldn't really care less about what might be perceived as any contradictions/hypocrisy - or whatever. Give the man a break. Like all threads, on all forums, reading them isn't mandatory.

Mate, you make sense !! The plonker corrected my spelling of " prostate" !! A typo . He actually suggested that a man who has had this " decease" for over 5 years thought that he, the man, had prostrate !! I have given this bloody decease fingers up, and also fingers up to the ...plonker. Just because I happen to be very very.....handsome ( boloucks ) this plonker is jealous !!!

'Disease'...

miltiades wrote:Another fucking Plonker.!! Why are you so envious of me?? Is it my ...youthful looks, my intelligence or maybe my honesty in calling you a blithering Plonker. Now get lost loser !!

I must say, I've seen little evidence of your intelligence on this forum!

Just your potty mouthed comments...

I knew you would spot it !!! I think the inverted commas gave it away.
Now go to sleep and dream of waking up as happy as Im !!! Happy Easter! Take it easy, we are all here on a temporary...visa!!

I got stuck behind a biker in the past week. A big machine. He was weaving all over the road due to being on his phone. He was wearing shorts, T shirt and flip-flops but no helmet. Obviously, he regarded himself as immortal and clearly couldn’t give a shit about the law/police or other road users. It was transparent me, me, me stuff.

I have to say, it seems to me that there was absolutely nothing unusual about that event. You can see similar things just about every week here. :(

I’m not sure what the answer is. :?

I love the Cypriot FREE spirit but not when it extends to dangerous areas such as driving. I have been driving for just over 2 years now in Cyprus. I have come to accept the unpredictability of Cypriot drivers and watch out for them. In fact I class the vast majority of Cypriots as donkey riders, donkeys do not indicate, neither do they, the donkeys , make a right turn correctly. As for red traffic lights, here again, donkeys do not have to conform. I therefore treat all Cypriot drivers as fucking donkey riders with absolutely no road sense. As a Cypriot born I can express my views without been told to fuck off back to where I came from.
Having said this, the very vast majority of Cypriots are absolutely fantastic, not pretentious, not aggresive and with a good sense of humour.

The lack of substantial progress the past years (compared to other European countries) being even more thoughtprovoking

Every school should include in their curriculum ROAD SENSE. It would take a whole generation to teach Cypriots how to properly behave on the roads, instil much required discipline, fines alone will not cure the "Dongeyrides" mentality so rampant in Cyprus.
How on earth do these drivers pass a driving test I shall never know. Early mornings are the worst since ALL go through red lights, do not indicate and all seem to be still asleep. In the meantime Im on the lookout for a four legged mode if transport, male or ...female !!

Such a tragedy, a young man with his whole life in front him had it cut short. It seems that the authorities have yet to realize that a huge concerted campaign is required, on tv, radio, the media and schools, a campaign that will save lives, face reality that Cypriots do not have discipline , tgey must be educated, fines alone are not the solution. Instill in them all the need to treat their vehicles differently with the way their grandfathers and beyond treated their four legged mode of transport. You still see on a daily basis young men driving their lethal weapons without proper care and no helmets. Introduce a " SAFE DRIVING " programme on tv, if necessary use language sych as I do, tell them your vehicle is not a bloody donkey, you need to drive sensibly, use the fucking indicators, make a right turn correctly and stop using your fucking mobiles you four legged idiots.

Fines are the perfect solution...

They just need the Police to focus on the real issues... All the police stopping those we see every day on their phones, stuck in the outside lane, jumping lights, etc. and issuing large fines. People will soon learn...

Instead, today in Pafos there was a police car, two police motorbikes, four or five officers in total parked up at the Superhome Centre and stopping motorists doing 65Kph in the downhill section of the 50Kph dual carriageway... Probably one of the safest roads on the island but what a cash cow!
