Jerry looks no more than 55 -60 years old but in fact he is a year older than I !!
After a coffee at my brothers house we set off for lunch. Jerry has lived in this part of England almost all of his life so well familiar with the area. He drove to , just outside Margate and ended up at a country pub, so quintessentially English, i forget the name of this village but I shall always remember my last day in Margate. Our lunch was first class, they obviously have an experienced chef. Pretty busy eatery, all English diners and very pleasant waiting staff. We talked a great deal and enjoyed each other's company.
It rained all day practically but Jerry had his brolly available.
We took a drive back going through Herne Bay, a picturesque seaside town, I recalled visiting about 50 years ago !!
Jerry is fully conversant with the history surrounding this part of England, very informative.
We drove back and promised to meet up on his next visit to Cyprus. It was by far my best and most enjoyable day since arriving in the UK, thank you Jerry, you are a star !!

Nice to see you again Yannis after such a long time. I'm only in Kent for a few days each year, it was a useful coincidence that you were there too. I now live in Bridport, Dorset which is 200 miles away. The pub we visited was in Fordwich just outside Canterbury called "The George & Dragon" https://www.brunningandprice.co.uk/georgeanddragon/, highly recommended if anyone on CF visits that part of UK.

I hope to see you in Limassol next time I'm in Cyprus. I hope your test results come back OK, I must say you do look very well - plenty of life in the old dog yet!

Getting my test results this morning, will not accept anything less than 25 more years, there again is the bloody 13th today, could be ....lucky for me !!!
Have booked my flight for this Thursday so I shall soon be on Paradise Island !
This is the first time in over half a century that I find my self in London with ....no work
nothing to do, I just laze around counting the days.

On my return I shall make an effort to ......find my self a new ....blonde, or even a brunette, well in fact anything will do. My wife is not willing to give me a divorce but frankly I do not care much, at my age I do not indent to marry again. I love my independence, go where I like see who I like.
Might even make a trip to Nicosia and see ....GR !!!

The long awaited test results were given to me by my doctor this morning.
I have been with the same GP practice for over 50 years, Im in fact the oldest ....patient in terms of years with the practice. You are looking good John, the doctor said, havent seen you for over a year.

Doctor give me the good news I said.
Well, your diabetes is exactly at same level as it has been for the last 5 years, 6.8.
Fantastic I replied, how about the fucking cancer? No swearing he retorted smiling.
Well exactly same as it was 4 years ago !!
But he said, you have a B12 defficiency which must be treated ! Does it affect my walking I asked. Yes he replied.

Since coming to Cyprus I rarely eat red meat, preferring koutchia, fasolia and other similar foods. I told him this and I now understand why my left leg felt a little numb making me limb a bit.
Im very pleased with my tests, Cyprus here I come !!

Thank you Jerry. I was thinking that the left leg problem might have been the cancer spreading. I started today on the tablets and just finished scoffing an almost blue Sirloin steak. Thinking back over the last 15 months in Cyprus I think I ate red meat 2 or 3 times. From now it will be twice a week a juicy T-Bone. I must say that Im and always have been an optimist and a realist.

I shall upon my return embark upon a ...serious task of finding a gorgeous female, first I shall visit my barber in Limassol for a shave, I havent shaved since my arrival in London on 31st July, the beard is developing ....agressively!!!

M, the beard is of a temporary nature as I hate beards!! Upon my return on Friday early morning I shall visit my barber and get it off.
I havent shaved for two weeks now as my expression of utter distaste in finding my self in the UK !! The country is gone fucking mad, Boris the clown referred to muslim women wearing those stupid cloths as ...lettet boxes and likened them to bank robbers !! What a furore!! I call them cockoroaches and vrikolakes. Besides Im sick and tired of the Brexit bullshit daily on the radio. I do not have a tv as Im ...alergic to the stupid ads every few minutes.
Cyprus here I come !! Ladies be on the look out for a .. .frisky old goat !!!

Today, my 17th and final day in London. Catching a flight this evening arriving Cyprus early morning. I have missed my Cyprus life style , my daily fishing trips and speaking Cypriot Greek !!
I must say that Im extremely bored here in London, I suppose not being at work has added to my boredom. The transport system is very good so I have, out of boredom, travelled to central London a few times, travel is free for senior citizens, visited places that I worked as a young man studying, did not visit the ...Queen, but I doubt if she would ever ...visit me.

Im travelling with Cobalt air and can honestly say I was impressed with their brand new aircraft and the ....stewardessess !!!
See you all soon ....

Back on Paradise Island, Sweet Sunny Cyprus.!! If ever I had even the slightest doubts about My return to Cyprus these last 17 days in London, Margate, have reinforced my love for this island. So happy to be back where I belong, to the sun, the sea, the people. Apart from one day with Jerry, the rest of the days were dreary to say the least. Yes London has a first class bus transport system, yes the food is cheaper but looking around one easily think that he is in some far away tbird world country. The whole nation is obsessed with
With trivialities, there is nothing to bond people to together, a multi cultural disaster, political correctness gone mad.You are labeled an islamophobic by daring to take the piss out women dressed as cockroaches, medievel vrikolakes. Little girls forced to comply with dark ages culture, homosexuality accepted as an alternative form of living. Men marrying men, dare you say anything? NO.
Crime on the up and up, almost daily a stabbing. Who was to live in this concoction of alien cultures, not I. !!
