We drove to the old village and my brother had allready told me about an English lady that renovated a house next to his old house and that he had met quite a few times as , like my self, is rather sentimental, albeit he only lived in the house a few months since my parents moved to Stroumbi in the spring of 1940.

I parked the car right outside the house and left the key in the ignition, the road was just wide enough for one car, but as there was no sign of any ....traffic warden it did not matter.

Linda, a lady in her late 60s early 70s opened the door accompanied by a large dog, a Mastif labrator mix, she immediately recognized my brother who introduced me to her, the dog is friendly she told us, i knew it was continually wagging his tail.
She was pleased to see us and showed us to her veranda offering us beverages.
The dog was such a friendly dog, it knew we loved dogs and was displaying his pleasure at our presence.
We talked at length, I just had to ask Linda what on earth made her decide to settle at this very remote village, she pointed to ravine below and the surrounding mountains. So peaceful she said, at night I just look at the stars and the moon , not a whisper to be heard she added.
I asked her about the dog, does he socialize with other dogs I asked, yes she said there is an english couple further up and they too have a dog, besides he also has the . Cat pointing to a pussy cat lounging in the sun. Do they get on I asked, like a house on fire she responded.
Having exchanged pleasantries we thanked and came outside to where we left the car.
Well we left it there right outside but....

But.... but... but... Let the audience guess Milti...

You didn't pull the handbrake and it moved by itself.
I can't beleive it was stolen!
2nd guess. Someone with a big agricultural machine couldn't get through so he moved it himself

Anyone else interested to take the baton?

They did that in the past and started all over again in a few days.
I asked Milti why, and he said Paphitis was sending him insulting PMs. Go figure

Before I continue with the main thread, only just noticed comments by Pyrpolizer re Paphitis sending me insulting PMs
I do not recall either talking to or messaging Pyrpolizer, even if I did, Im not a liar, never have been, I speak my mind and call a spade a spade. Paphitis and I exchanged a number if civil exchanges either by phone on PMs. I have not told anyone that Paphitis was sending me insulting messages, if I wish to insult him I do it publicly as indeed I have done.
With due respect my dear Pyrpolizer please withdraw your comments.

OK Milti let me correct this statement
There was a time you and Paphitis put it all behind you, apologized to each other, and became friends.
I logged in maybe after a month, and to my surprise I saw that you continued the usual old verbal "decorations" on Pahitis and I asked you why are you doing this? I remember you said that soon after you presumably became "friends" Pahitis started [Posting (?)/Sending you PMs (?)/emails (?)] with insulting content.
Considering both yours and Paphitis's denial of any exchange of insulting PMs, it's obvious that I got the wrong impression in my memory in how it re-started,
Hence I have no problem withdrawing this specific part from my statement, and I accept what both of you said, that I re-started publicly via exchange of posts.
But it did re-start, right?

OK, we can accept that it was a mistake or oversight.

You are correct in asking Miltiades the question about the scandalous decorations (slander) and personal attacks against me.

My idea is that Miltiades is encouraged and emboldened by Hoodwinked, since he desires to carry favour with him and be his friend.

I am more than happy to leave Miltiades alone. Both he and Hoodwinked will need to cease making personal posts against me, or discuss my mental reasoning or capacity in an effort to discredit me for the views I hold. It's completely not on, and just because there is no moderation on this forum, doesn't make it right. It ceases being banter at that point.

In addition, I am all for banter but please cease with the personal stuff and the characterizations.

I think we all know that if it wasn't for me and my views, this forum will be dead in the water.

I really appreciate you asking that question. It's as if you supported me against the personal vitriol which is very nice. You are the only one to have done that apart from CrookedRiverGuy.

Paphitis ..... If you want to be treated as an adult ...... try acting like one! Try hard not to provoke others into calling you what you demonstrate you are. If you act like a self opinionated, ill-informed and immature fool then members will treat you as such .... which they appear to do at the moment. I can see from your post above you regard yourself as an exception and indispensable member of the forum ...... a rather arrogant belief seeing how most members feel about your contributions to it.

If you regard calling me 'shit-for-brains', 'Dick head', 'Idiot' etc. why do you think I should not treat you with the same dismissive contempt?

Maybe instead of using your forum title PAPHITIS ....... I should rename you as PAPHETIC ? No .........childish retaliation is your style not mine!
