Just to give anyone that might be interested to know I list below some personal facts.
I was born in Cyprus in may 1946.
When the struggle for independence commenced on April 1st 1955 I was approaching my 9th birthday. I fully supported the struggle against British occupation and still do now.
At the age of 12 in 1958 I took the oath and joined the youth movement of EOKA called ANE.
The struggle ended a year later 1959, in 1960 Cyprus became an independent nation, I was then 14 years old.
I attended the Lanition Gymnasion until the end of term in 1961 finishing third class.
In those years one had to pay for tuition.
My father was having a great deal of hardship bringing up on his own 4 children.

I decided in the summer of 1961 that it was
Necessary for me to leave Cyprus and the UK was my best option. Although my father steadfastly refused to sign my passport application, I managed , through the help of my late godfather, obtain a Cyprus passport, worked hard in the summer months, saved enough for my boat journey and presented my father with my documents telling him Im going to London.

This guy that I dislike immensely , the one I call pervert, has continually insinuated that I somehow ....did a runner from Cyprus. In 1961 , 2 years after the end of the struggle I was barely 15 years old. I sweated my guts out doing hard labour work to save up and go to the UK. This imbassil has on numerous occasions posted articles concerning my departure from Cyprus as if it was to dodge the army, conscription was introduced 2 years later in 1963.

I posted a number of times that following the 1953 earthquake and our being taken to the Limassol orphanage, we received a lot of support from ENGLISH ladies who would almost daily pass by and sharing out treats to the boys and girls living in the orphanage.

Why do I detest this individual?
Firstly he absolutely hates the West, secondly he fully supported Isis and their gruesome acts, exuberabt each time some barbaric act was perpetrated by these savages, he posted a thread on this forum titled "Sling them high" referring to a gay guy that these barbarians slung to his death from the top of a building. He also exonerated the massacre of British and other tourists in Tunisia. I hate what this pervert stands for. As for the other one, the one I call General, our relationship was ok up until the Syrian war. On entering the debate of this particular thread on the Syrian war, page 15 back a few years back
I sternly opposed the West's involvement particularly it's demand that Assad should step down.
This guy, the general, i have always consideted to be a good guy but very immature and rather naive. Insecure too.

This particular thread that I started in May of last year was intended to offer not only readers but those diaspora Cypriots who may sometime in the near future do some research on what it feels like coming back to Cyprus after 56 years. I have always loved Cyprus and so did my late English wife who , on her own wish, is burried in Limassol.
I shall continue recording my time in Cyprus and will ignore parasites.
Almost a year since coming to Cyprus, am I happy, Im deliriously happy, the best year of my life, I criticize some aspects of Cyprus ir driving, but I beleive this island to be an absolute Paradise. By the way i do not beleive in mythological religion of any sort.

 I reckon Milti should prove his Cypriot patriotism by showing up at the Ministry of Defense in Nicosia, and offering his services to the Army Reserve… even at the risk of getting rejected due to the dentures and colostomy bag... fair enough people? :?

If you promise to come with me and hold my hand helping me up the stairs I shall.
First you must help me with putting on my colostomy bag, and buy me ....dentures !!

Your concerns regarding the treatment of the member in question would, under normal circumstances, be viewed with similar compassion to that which you demonstrated in your post, however, were you to indeed search through his past filthy disgusting attacks upon certain members, his vile language and deliberate 'Polls' in an attempt to bring others into disrepute (whilst hoping to garner favour and sympathy for himself) you would very soon come to understand why he is so disliked.

Look no further than the first comment at the top of this (or maybe preceding ) page and DO NOT allow your young children (if you have any) to catch sight of his appallingly outrageous language and suggestions which are the main feature of so many of his ridiculous rantings.

Have a nice week-end.

Thank you for taking the time to explain things Schnauzer. You have a great weekend too.

So, in short words, cutting out all the sympathy seeking flannel and tear jerking reminiscences, you 'Did a Runner' before you came of the age to serve your country in the military (common knowledge that such conscription was forthcoming at the time of your departure) and you made sure that for the next 50 years, you would not spend a long enough holiday in Cyprus lest you became liable for your call-up.

Now THAT'S the bare bones of the matter and you can wriggle in whichever direction you choose, moreover, your supposed enrolment in ANE was nothing special, at the time, every citizen was a member of EOKA in one way or another (except for a few traitors perhaps, or even some undercover youths, who knows) that's just the way it was.

There is more yet, NOW (recent suggestions regarding the UK's future after Brexit) things are not looking too bright for UK citizens, 'TIME TO JUMP SHIP' I reckon, well, it is a very well known fact that the 'Rats' are always first to abandon a sinking ship, I do wonder if your lack of confidence in Great Britain's future could have had any influence on your sudden reappearance on the shores of the land you NOW hold so dear in your heart ?.......Food for thought I reckon and, time for another rant if it pleases you

Even though I dislike the character, I would ordinarily leave the guy alone and maybe even felt sorry for him, but unfortunately, he declared war on me a long time ago with endless personal attacks, polls, vitriolic abuse and just pure utter stupidity.

Now for him, the chooks are coming home to roost. It's rather sad, but remember, he bought this upon himself. No one would have targeted the man if he didn't commence on his endless campaign to discredit alternative viewpoints to his own, whilst trying to garner favour with other members to pump up his self esteem issues.

But, if he apologizes, then we would have no choice but to leave him alone again. We are a forgiving lot! The ball is in his court.

That's jolly decent and big of you Paphitis. Again, my 2 cents worth and for what it's worth I would say that would be the best resolution to this unpleasant exchange of insults and bitterness toward one another. Go for it gentlemen, apologise, shake hands and a big group hug please

The other thing he does, is that he manufactures things about certain members.

For instance, he accuses a particular member above for being an ISIL sympathizer, and that he condones acts of cruelty which this organization is known for as well as terrorist attacks.

These are serious allegations, especially since the victim lives in the UK. It does not take much these days to attract the attention of Government Surveillance either on the net, via smart phones and other means. Governments even collect and mine metadata at will now, and people's data is not private.

Miltiades should know better because this stuff can destroy lives and families.

He also accuses me of wanting all out war in Cyprus among other things.

The guy needs to be stopped.
