mate, commercial TV is like that everywhere. Especially stupid reality TV.

Tattoos and piercings are hardly something unique to just Greeks. And yet I still find them quite nice and respectful.

You are pretty stupid to judge a whole race of people because of facial hair. Beards are the in thing at the moment in North America and Australia. The bigger the better. Not my taste, but it seems to be popular at the moment. A phase.

Doesn't mean Australians and Americans are bad or that Greeks are bad.

Tattoos and body art is everywhere.

I still see beards as associated with islamic Jihadists. Its a free country and I have the right, just as the trixes have the right, to voice my utter disgust at this phenomenon imported to Cyprus by the Greek peasants. By the way is it true that Greece is sending a warship or two to challenge the Turkish peasants interfering with our gas explorations ? I say its all fucking ...trixes, having a ...rest now !!!

You can voice whatever you like, but even Jesus Christ had facial trishes. Well its back in vogue from 2000 years ago. Yes they have a right and our young people are quite interesting to say the least.

I am pleased that the Cypriots are also partaking in this international phenomena of facial trishes everywhere just to piss you off. Every Cypriot male should just throw the shaving cream and shavers in the bin and just grow the most beautiful and humungus Bushy beards.

Masculinity should be celebrated, and what better way than to grow a humingus great big beard with thick trishes. :D

I do not dispute this. Beards are worn by many races, I just think that in some cultures they are more widespread. Nothing like the Greeks though, every fucker is covered in whiskers tattoes and more tattoos. Mate they have every right to do with their bodies whatever they like, I have every right to dislike fucking beards and tatoos, also body pearcings and women with ....moustaches. if genitals were detachable they would stick their willies where the sun doesnt shine !!! Narcissism is after all ....Greek !!
Are those frigates on their way yet ??

Since coming to Cyprus April last, I have endeavoured to adjust to Cypriot life and embrace local culture, religion excempted,
Understanding how Cypriots feel about Cyprus, their concerns and their " wants" . I look at my self as an observer and I hope that other Cypriots from the diaspora might find my observations of at least some interest. I talked a lot about Cypriot driving
And I repeat It is atrocious, stupid, selfish and bloody dangerous.

My 9 year old grandson was admitted to the Limassol General Hospital last Friday 16th Feb following a visit to the doctor who immediately requested hospital admission.
Diagnosis was cellulitis affecting the right eye which apparently if left untreated would become " orbital" meaning it would spread to the brain. Luckily and thanks to the superb care and treatment the boy was discharged today exactly a week since admittance.

I spent many hours at the hospital giving the parents a break as one of them would stay all night. As its my character to be aware of my surroundings and observe , I must say that I was very impressed with the general care at the paediatric ward of the hospital. Cleanliness received 10 out of 10 and the same for medical treatment, nursing care etc. I was impressed and very pleased.

It’s good to hear that you’re Grandson make a swift recovery Milti.

Mrs LR and myself have had nothing of major concern health wise in our 6 years here so far. The few problems which have taken us to a hospital as outpatients have been dealt with immediately. That’s different from the experiences we had in the UK prior.

All the best to you and the family.

Thanks C, I must admit that on talking to the doctor prior to hospital admittance I was a little apprehensive but did not want to take ultimate responsibility away from the parents, so I was watchful . Again I will say that I was rather impressed. The lady doctor who discharged him spoke very good english and although my every day Greek is more than adequate I was pleased that I was able to discuss his condition in English.

Miltiades, it doesn't matter what you (an old man) thinks about the beards the young men sport. Young women nowadays prefer this expression of masculinity

Too many (previously) 'men' seem to be .... transing ... into .... ????? .... and women are not happy!

The beard is a good outward sign (apart from that singer).
