I agree with you on his obvious lack of leadership qualities, who wouldn't? He's no Churchill, that's for sure. But I have to take exception to the other points.
Whilst Corbyn (and indeed McDonnell) would like to wipe the slate clean and start over, politics isn't like that. They've both accumulated decades of loony, back-bench, hard left politicial activities. Corbyn, the proud rebel, who has voted against Labour a record 428 times, now calls for "Party unity" for instance Proof, if ever, that in certain areas you could put a donkey up for election and succeed, if it wore the right coloured ribbon. None of that past is going away though, "sound" ideas or not. Which brings me to another point.......................................
Really though, I doubt even as little as 3 years ago Corbyn, in his wildest dreams, would have foreseen a situation where his brand of politics would capture the Labour Party and both he and McDonnell aspire to the two greatest offices of State. You can thank Ed M for that one.
