I'd like some ideas on whether my plan is feasible.
Would I need planning permission to build a little church on a bit of land that's going to be difficult to build much else on? I think it might be classified as forest land.
God bless one and all.

Forest land is something like 1% anyway.
Bottom line you need permission. If no one complains during construction you may get away with not being stopped, but what will you do for electric and water?
B25 wrote:Sure, anything is possible in Cyprus.
To be a proper church you will need the archbishops blessing or whatever they do, otherwise it'll just be a building in the form of a church. Does the plot have road access??

Who's paying for construction???

Hmm. Another shed. What's the largest you can get in one of those that still doesn't require planning?
Problem is, I can see myself wanting to live in the church maybe in around 10 years time - for sanctity, reclusiveness and to become a bit nun-like, with a goat and some chickens - if hubby still wants to watch football and stays living in the big house (which we still haven't bought/built ). I want to fill it with my collection of icons and some church relics. I can see it would draw me in - initially staying there for a day or two for some peace.
