So much concern for Britain by a bunch of half-baked Brits who chose to ABANDON their country ages ago while it was still a member of the EU!

I think all of the OPs here on the subject have been raised by Remain people. Unlike them, it seems, I'm quite kool about what's happening. I just think some of their points are either completely wrong or misguided.

As far as abandoning goes I've no more abandoned my country than Milti his. I certainly don't plan on dying here in Cyprus. Well, actually, I'm not planning on dying anywhere.

I'm not sure where the half baked comes in. :? I've thought it all through, long, long ago.

Abandoning ?? What rubbish. Immigration is the oldest ( apart from prostitution  )
human activity. Millions of people the world over move to another country for a variety of reasons. As I will very soon be retiring in my country of birth, but will not be ....abandoning my adopted country, merely return to Sweet Sunny Cyprus. I do like those newcomers , the female sort, unlike newcomers in the UK  The country is not what it once was.

I’m talking about those who have been residing in CY for many years if not decades, many of which have even burnt their bridges yet keep going on and on about the future of Britain outside the EU…

It seems to me that the people who are usually most passionate about their countries are those who haven't lived in them for years. Or even, perhaps like the Irish descendants you find in the likes of Boston, never.

Can I ask a simple question? :?:

If by leaving the EU the UK was going to fall flat on its face , plunge into abject poverty and mass unemployment, why are EU people like Junker so determined to make the process as difficult and drawn out as possible? Surely, if the gloom and doom pundits are correct ...... then the sooner the UK goes through the door of no return and everything goes t*ts-up, the better. Then all the Europeans can say, like TD ..... “We told you so!”.

But if they thought the UK could leave and be better off, of course they would make leaving difficult, painful and expensive as it will (they think) deter others from the same course of action, but it just shows them up as the arrogant, vindictive parasites that they really are and could have exactly the reverse effect. They know that would be the final nail in the EU coffin!

That is just common sense .......... init?

Guy Verhofstadt said Britain’s exit from the EU was little more than a “stupid Tory cat-fight” that got out of hand.

“There will be, one day or another, a young man or woman who will try again, who will lead Britain again into the European family once again,” the former Belgian prime minister said.

“A young generation will see Brexit for what it really is – a cat-fight in the Conservative Party that got out of hand, a loss of time, a waste of energy and a stupidity.”

Well spoken, that man. He has articulated my precise thoughts, and I am sure that of millions like me, in a few pithy words. I believe this will happen, too.

So, the sooner we leave, you along with all the Millenial's, can then vote in the next election, defeat all the old fogies, get your country back again, your European Sovereignty, break down the border fence and. immediately adopt the Euro ....... and 'Bingo' you will be REAL Europeans again! You had better start learning some German then!
