You really are left behind times...just think a couple of bucks for each app....witn a good/useful app for example radar and red light warnings that work with google maps people will pay....you could easily sell 300, 000 subscriptions...you do the math...something about cyprus and tourists for example another nifty app...
Sometimes I wonder about your state of mine...

Perhaps some kind of alternative to Skype?

Implying that it’ll take more than 12 months or that it can’t be done at all?
Sotos wrote:Implying that you can't compete with a product which Microsoft bought for 8.5 billion dollars by making something in 6-12 months on your own in your spare time (or even with 1 more person). In this particular case you wouldn't be able to compete even if you worked the rest of your life 24/7. Skype is not "moderate competition". Moderate competition for you would be other products developed by single developers or at most small companies, and even then if there is any significant amount of money to be made in this product you would probably need to work on it full time. If you do it for fun and for learning then great ... but if you try to compete with giants like Microsoft and Google you will not make any money... you can make more money by flipping burgers at McDonald's than by trying to steal even a tiny market share from products such as Chrome and Skype.
