Here's an update of the facts.....undisputed: I will be straight up and truthful
1) The talks are finished, where each side's redlines run too deep and will not retract
2) Turkey is and has aligned the TRNC with its Republic as a province in every way
3) The UK now leaving the EU has seriously removed any advantage the ROC may have thought it had by accepting Cyprus as an EU member state.
4) Turkey's focus on Global relationships as opposed to being pegeonholed, like the UK, has seriously complicated any advantage for Federal based Cyprus solution where two of its guarantor countries will not be a part of.
5) The Turkish Cypriot people have now realised that a Cyprus federal solution will not happen and are embracing the links Turkey has opened up for them to the global political, economic and social environment
6) The Greek Cypriot people know that the Varosha, and other areas along the borderline and a few villages can only be returned under a Two State agreement
7) The "ceasefire line" has clearly been upgraded to a "borderline" due to the agreed crossings/checkpoints. These will now increase and soon free travel across both States will be a future development by default
Turkey has realised that although a Federal agreement in Cyprus is no longer possible due to deep rooted redlines, promoting the TRNC via organisations like the OIC and through its business channels have finally started bearing fruit
9) Turkey's recent agreements with Israel (the Gas pipeline transportation signing), and Russia (with its new S400 defence missile system in exchange for multiple advantages with Turkey's channelling and Turkic states), has left the Cyprus question in the hands of the Greek Cypriots to decide on how to move forward
10) The Greek Cypriots have feel like they are negotiating the Cyprus Gas find agreements at this moment, but without changing their ROC constitution away from the original 1960 Agreement in its entirety, Turkey as a guarantor countries, like Britain with the right to retain two large areas of Cyprus land for its military bases, will always feel hostage
11) On Cyprus, Turkey has gotten away with being able to play on both sides; retaining the TRNC, and influencing the future position of the entire island, which a will become more apparent when the Gas Find in Cyprus actually become more visual and practical
12) apart from Armenia, which has been receiving great advantages recently via the Turkic states around it, The countries surrounding Turkey are all in agreement in some way or another. Bulgaria, Greece, Georgia, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Russia and with the extended natural resources rich Turkic ex-soviet countries are all signing major agreements with Turkey. In addition to this the U.K, in its Brexit scenario is also repositioning itself more globally than previously as an EU member state, opening up more opportunities for its relationship with Turkey and those countries boardering it.
