I am reasonably polite but will respond when attacked by someone like you. No doubt Paphitis left because of me, which just shows what a pathetic individual he is. His use of the first person plural on any post related to The Coalitions actions in Syria and stupid adulation of the Arabs and their 'superior' culture (he even said he wanted to be one!) made him look a dork and encouraged the ridicule of other members, not just me.

When he made a sensible post, I often agreed with him ......... but comments about ‘white socks, shorts, white singlet etc’ (Ridicule?) is not very nice, but like you he attacks the person rather than the message. He frequently quoted propaganda and was a fanatical supporter of any western action, even when they were contrary to International Law .... which reflects your opinions as well. You are both ‘anti-anything-to-do-with-Russia’ and his use of the disrespectful term ‘Pootin’ showed what a simple mind he had on any Russian/Syrian related subject. Unlike you I don’t build up a library and hold files on all the things posters say that offend me, that I can list verbatim. Paphitis simply could not debate, he didn’t know how!

You obviously believe othr members are interested in your opinion of me but remember, you followed me to this site, even e-mailed me to ask if I objected, which I didn’t (it is not my exclusive property) so you must have had an ulterior motive and you have demonstrated it many times in the 12 months you have been a member.

My attitude to any poster would be .....’If you can’t take the heat, stay out of the kitchen!’ I am not normally disposed toward insulting remarks or expletives, but if I am attacked I will retaliate. Paphitis thought it was ok for him to insult and mock but couldn’t take it ....... I faced up to him, he couldn’t brow beat me ......... so he threw his toys out of the pram and quit. Argue your case by all means but there should be no need for personal attacks, insults or the use of foul language.

I remember a certain member on another site ....... pronouncing his fond farewell to all the other members ........ who then left ........ realised nobody missed him .......... and then popped up a few months later to start all over again.

So before you throw your accusations around ..... you should look in the mirror.

I won't do that as it is not really the decent thing to do and is of no relevance on this Forum. You must make your own mind up, which you seem to be doing anyway. Why not ask him directly, I am sure he would be happy to give you his version of events ?

Like me, he was born and lived his early life in London, he in East London and me mainly South London. But although by different routes and careers we both ended up living in Cyprus. Definitely not female and not feeble, you just haven't crossed swords yet on any particularly contentious subject on which your views and his are at odds.

A couple of weeks ago both RH and I received an Admin warning relating to references to another Forum.

When I first engaged with him on this Forum there was an immediate effort to discredit me. Apparently I am a pompous alcoholic. Neither of which is true and Mr Hood well knows it. I'm a cockney born-and-bred and his only experience of my supposed alcoholism was when for a while he attended a monthly lunch club I go to, with a gang of 15 or so other guys who were there to - surprise, surprise - have a good time. I submit that nothing I have posted indicates anything along the lines of drunken stupor. Why I have to defend myself on issues like that beats me. It's blatant lies.

Anyway, perhaps his previous post in this thread should be viewed in that light? There is very much a "spin" on events as related. I could respond in kind but am not going to.

Nevertheless, I maintain that the reason Paphitis has stopped posting is principally down to him. Although, I believe he also lost his rag with the polling issue.

I'm sure he must still read the posts so would say that you should come on back mate. It's clear that you're missed by quite a few. Missed in a good way by some and perhaps not such a good way by others. But definitely missed.

I certainly wouldn't quit something you have been involved in for years, just like that, or for those reasons.
