Did you know, that one of the top Australian Universities collaborate with a "North" Cyprus University.

Why?

I will tell you why. because your Government and educational authorities are stupid. they actually asked to collaborate with The University of cyprus first but were not even acknowledged.

Do you have a link of the alleged article. I did a search and all I can come up with is an eccentric Comedian.

BTW, I searched Freedom houses data base for anything about Cyprus and came up with nothing. Empty.

Which means that unlike Russia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Australia, and USA, Cyprus isn't even on their radar. Which is a good thing.

They don't normally write any good stuff about countries. If they write anything, it's about Human Rights and Democracy.

Whoever pays up gets advertised. If Turkey is now getting criticized it’s only because they’ve stopped using their services and perhaps an enemy is paying instead. They are paid propagandists… they’re well known in the business of pushing political agendas for a price.
