You said: an educated and cultured Cyprus man would NEVER marry a russian woman or a woman coming from the Ex-Soviet Union.

Can you tell me why? Is this because Cypriots are genetically superior? Or is it that the culture of Cyprus is so much richer than that of Russia and the other ex-USSR countires?

Well Lana i can give you a very big answer but i prefer give you a short answer and if you are clever enough then you must understand what i mean...so the answer is this....simply russian women themselves give bad reputation. get my point now? and generally i talk about the %80 of them.

BUT i like ask YOU a question...WHO named this site "desperate men of cyprus"? probably it should be the other way round...THE desperate russian women worldwide.

About reputation: to judge about all nation you should know people very well and not only by those on holidays.
Af cause the situation changed much since about 20-30 years ago when we had traditions and big moral. That is the reason why i feel myself sometimes from another centure.
But anyway NOT ALL FINGERS ARE LEFT! If someone is russian it does not mean he or she is sheet. The same thing with othe nations.

The Russian population is in excess of 150,000,000 people

The % of women who let themselves down are perhaps forced by circumstances created by other people.

Anyway. I am a very proud Cypriot and i hate to say that we do have Cypriot women who also let themselves down as well……everyday.

We should admire these people who come here to legitimate work to sent money to there families in Russia and who fall into unethical individuals who are using them for there own means.

The shame should be for the Cypriot government who allow these situations to exist that are giving Cypriots a bad name abroad.


Russian people in cyprus you.....have nothing to be ashamed of.

This isn't really my ideal thead but can I just say that I find the Russians in Cyprus exceedingly nice and civil. As far as the Russian ladies are concerned , they are mostly very beautiful and charming.
