I will take a guess and say about 30 days in all

You know little if anything about Cyprus. Now you day you went to this gambling place on 3 occasions
You had free drinks at all 3 times. Perhaps they took you for a ...spy or secret service .I wonder how many Cypriots enjoy free drinks at this joint. In my younger days I visited many casinos here in london where meals and drinks were provided to members only since they knew that suckered such as those who gamble would end up paying through the. Nose. Tell us now how much did you ( for GR ) loose ???

Quite a great many days to be more knowledgeable about the darker side of the island than both you and Pyro.

Go and visit that place I told you and see for yourself.

However, you won't be getting any free drinks because all they would see in you is just some loser patsogero, or someone they can feed on.

They didn't with me. I drank for free and was given a lot of attention. Why? Well you try and work it out because the only thing I can figure out is that I grabbed their attention as someone to watch. Either way, I wasn't going to cause trouble for them because I am no idiot and actually value my life and want to grow old.

I walked in and got their attention for some reason.

These guys probably even knew where I was staying because they probably might of even followed me or tried to. But I am not an idiot as I told you and took dummy routes. I remember being very conscious of being cautious.

Yeah .....maybe they even thought you were a real James Bond ! Did they ask you if you wanted your Martini shaken or stirred ? Or maybe they thought the lump in your trousers as you drooled over the women ..... was a Berretta ?

Ohhhhh what a plonker!

That's easy for you to say.

Just walk in and see for yourself. Check it out!

It don't go wearing your shorts, white shirt, white socks and sandals.

See if you would feel comfortable when all the Russian bouncers and some freak wearing a 20000 euro chain around his neck sit next to you filling your glass with a click of their finger.

Gambling, narcotics, women of the night are not your typical good fellas. In Las Vegas, some of the Casinos there were started off by the Sicilian Mafia as well. These are not establishments where you can just walk in and be a smart arse.

And I wasn't, but I raised there eyebrows at least for some reason.

Dream on '007' ......... do you honestly expect anyone to take anything you say seriously after this?

You can mouth off but I got 100 on the table.

Come on! If I am not telling the truth, then it should be an easy 100 in your pocket.

I even gave you a floor plan. Go and say G'Day!

Someone who has lived all their life in Cyprus even said there are no Casinos in Cyprus. Well the bet is open to him too and if he is right, then both of you win. And I will be 200 poorer.

Any takers on an easy 200?

By what you are saying, it should be the easiest 200 you would make.

200 on the table right now!

Come on guys! Don't let me down now.

If you guys are too scared, then you decide the amount. You should be robbing 007 with some easy cash.

Go in and have a Martini, and tell them Paphitis sent you. It will be on the house.

Too bad they are just front shops to traffic their money through an EU country which is convenient for them because they can easily get their gear and women through the occupied north by paying off some custom officials with more money then they will ever see from 10 years of salary.

What you think they are doing it so they can sunbake at Agia Napa or just because they want to move a couple of KG worth of Coke, or Crystal Meth? You are kidding yourselves. You are a little tiny pimple on their arsehole. But a pimple that is divided and their gateway to Europe and the rest of the world.

You are foaming too much. For a moment I thought you were talking about the occupied in fact you made that clear in one of your posts. And even on that you seem to have no idea about the facts. For a start all those casinos in the occupied were a result of Erdogan's declaring all casinos in Turkey illegal. They were not Russian casinos they were Turkish. And that's how they resettled in the occupied Cyprus.

There are no little casinos and strip clubs in the free areas, other than what existed long long time ago owned by the local mafia. The Russian flood of money that existed before the bail in was by 99% tax evaded money from legal Russian companies not mafia money.
You have no idea how the local Banks get controlled and follow directions to the letter regarding money laundering. Why don't you ask some people who actually work at the local Banks.

Nothing extraordinary happens in Cyprus from the Russians that doesn't happen already to a higher extend all over Europe including UK and Germany.. It is true that some of the Russian mafia sent their families here as measure of precaution, it is true that some keep millions of cash in vaults, but tell me where else this does not already happen. Sorry they wouldn't do Australia such a favor, it's so so far away....

On a side note calling the people from were you originate "fools and idiots" and all sorts of other derogatory names actually makes you one of most weird Charlies I have ever met.

No I am talking about the Casinos in non Occupied Cyprus, and most of the Brothels and strip joints in non occupied Cyprus. Probably the ones in the trnc as well but I'm not sure. I know one in Paphos (Casino on the corner of Digenis Akritas) which I went into once for a few drinks because I was drowning my sorrows over a death in the family. Didn't pay one cent. It was all free. Even met what I think was the owner who at one stage sat right next to me with gold chains the size of Harley Davidson Chains. He was younger than me and I didn't think he was a Mother Teresa either.

The Russians are everywhere in the North as well. They own a number of Estate Agencies there, selling properties to the Russians but that is another matter.

Not all Russian activity is illegal but the Mafia has a foothold in Cyprus, in the sex trade, even human trafficking, gambling houses, strip joints and so on. They do it because they can easily get their capital into Cyprus. They can't do it in any other European Country because the money would fracked and reported to the authorities.

They use a number of business interests in Cyprus to clean their money and then they move it on.

As for BoC, the largest share holders by far became Russians because they had the most money deposits which were levied by the Troika in exchange for shares into BoC. The CEO was indeed a Russian at one stage and might still be.

The CEO was and still is Hurrigan for CS and he's Irish.

Mate, that is an unfair bet.

But I would be happy to call them and you will get your free drink but don't go in there being You because these Russians didn't come down in yesterday's shower.

Go in and if you see what I describe, I win. If this world I describe doesn't exist then you win.

That wasn't the case a couple of years ago unless the Russians voted a Banker in because they got all the votes.

Btw, you interested in a 100 euro bet about Casinos in Cyprus. One on the corner of Digenis Akritas Street which I spent a bit of time having a few drinks in my hour of vulnerability.

One owned and operated by Russians too.

Of course you will give it a miss because you're friggin running scared.

Come on, all you have to do is walk in and have a Martini. Check the joint out. I never told you to do anything else.

You should be fine to just go in there to scope the joint out but don't be smart.

Come on, 100 on the table mate.
