Interesting that he should mention that what is happening in Europe on Russia’s borders is being repeated in Asia on China's borders. If The Bear and The Panda get together, the US and certain allies could find themselves in hot water if they rattle their cages? One of those allies is of course Australia who are already hosting several US military bases with plans for more and these look like replacing the US bases in the Philippines as the front line against China/Russia should any hostilities erupt.

Interesting but... reality says there won't be any nuclear war, because nobody would win such a war.
He very well explained it's all a matter of dominance, but unfortunately we still have this stupid American policy of trying to secure their dominance through military aid to corrupt governments, or through groups that more often than not evolve to terrorist, causing so many unnecessary and destructive wars all over the world.
China is going to prevail like it or not, the secret for world dominance is hard work, not military destruction and sales of weapons.

I agree with the context of your post with one exception!

Going nuclear is a last resort, an attempt to terminally damage your opponent if he looks like winning a conventional war.

Israel has what is know 'The Samson Option' which is a case of '...if we go down .... we take everyone with us!' The US has a first strike policy that is intended to counter the Samson option of any nation it was fighting by taking out that nations weapons before Samson could be implemented. Russia and China both have US missiles sitting right on their borders. The close proximity of these US assets reduces thinking time before Russia/China considers launching a strike against the US or Europe etc. as a sort of pre-emptive retaliation for what they perceive as an immediate threat to their national survival.

Both sides monitor the others electronic activities 24/7 .............. one mistake with all these weapons on hair-triggers and the unthinkable could happen. As you say ..... no-body would win but we will all lose ... that's for sure!
