You can also hear certain BBC radio programmes relayed over the local British forces radio with an excellent quality of reception, such as Radio 4's morning Today programme.

Paul, I know you mean well but what you're propagating here is actually *bad* advice.

All online radio stations have DIRECT links so you don't need to download any payers to listen to the BBC or any other online radio for that matter; that's why it's called “online radio”, and the links you have quoted are like... Driving from Nicosia to Troodos, and then through Limassol just so you can get to Larnaca!

Now here’s some advice for you…

The Classic Browser has a special menu called “Web Radio” which includes all BBC and dozens more radio stations just a normal click away. No need for local players.

thank you for you advice even after 45 years in the telecoms industry it is always helpful to hear someone with other ideas - the BBC RADIO 5 LINKS that i offer here are not GEO-BLOCKED ,that is why i offer them ..

I am a Resident of Bermuda ..but work from Zürich

The direct BBC link you posted is GEO-BLOCKED . it is a common mistake for people as you can still hear
promos and talk programs BUT NOT SPORT/FOOTBALL

yes people can get a proxy server/VPN/DNS etc etc
or they can just use our links ...its up to them
