Hi little sugar

yes, providing:

you are an EU national
the car has had VAT paid on it in an EU country
you have owned and used it for more than 6 months

But you would have to pay Duty on it if you sell it before it is 10 years old.

Hi guys,

As a newly registered user I like to say hi to everyone who uses this forum. I am a newbie to this forum. Money can be made out of this, I have a friend who has imported a few BMWs that he bought cheap at auctions in the UK, even after paying the duties ect, he made money, however you must check on exactly how old the car is and how much duty you will be liable for, also the whole island is stacked high with cars at the moment, so unless it's unusual or cheap you may get stuck with it. Thanks

I hope the cars your mate imported weren't nicked because they confiscated a lot like that a a few months ago.

What a nasty thing to say CBBB, and to suggest, you sound like a real bitter old codger.

My post was quite honest as a lot of people got duped by this scam that was being carried out. I hope they weren't nicked cars as his mate could well be in legal and/or financial trouble if they were.
