Thank you B25 I will go to EU small claim court, since that is my best chance with least hassle.
I will simply not leave those 450 eur there because that was their plan all along, and who knows who else was/is in my situation.

I hope you find somewhere nice to live. Don't expect perfection though. When you have your own property to maintain, you will soon find out how difficult it is to keep everything functioning perfectly 100% of the time (drip drip drip as I sit here ignoring the tap. :P )

Thank you for the advise, I did manage to move and found something ok. Since it was not an accident or misfortune loosing those 450 euro but a deliberated and calculated action, I will get them back even if it will cost me 1k to do so.

unless you can claim the 1k back too, that does not make sense. it is emotion talking. use your head. do all you can to get it back and if you cannot put it down to experience. know your rights and stick to the contract. as much as possiblr use the deposit as the last rent if you can.
