The war in Syria is a complete Cluster-Fuck with few good guys outside of the charities trying to help the ordinary Syrians, and none among the major protagonists. I had no particular liking for Clinton, but I Remain to be convinced Trump is a better bet. Rather he seems to be a thin-skinned thick head with few real policies, just a few populist soundbites which too many of the great unwashed fell for.

Populism is good because that happens to be what the populace thinks and who can blame them.

We get this kind of attitude from the Elite media, which will only push more and more people towards the protest vote or alt right.

People are sick of being told how they should think, act and behave.

We know.

And so you should!

I'm far more chooser with my information streams.

I think you are having a laugh mate, we have not figured it out yet.No one can be as wrong as you so consistently.

I am being very deadly serious.

Syria is going to go through many years of turmoil if there is no Comprehensive Peace Settlement and Assad doesn't step down.

Syria will not see any peace any time before 2030. And the Coalition will remain and occupy Syria and even create a Kurdish State. Don't say I didn't warn you.

If you haven't looked at a map lately, then I suggest you do that now. RAQQA is one of the final pieces of the puzzle, then the kurds are only 70kms from Aleppo and all they need is access to the sea after that.

And what would you actually know?

Have you heard of Afghanistan? Both Russia and the USA have NEVER been able to defeat the Mujahideen there, the Taliban or Al Qaeda. You can never comprehensively defeat them without occupying the entire country for a very long time.

at first, the West were supporting the Mujahideen, then they were fighting them.

It's a viscous circle. And they will never be beaten because this conflict has been going on for 500 years.

That is Syria's future without a political settlement. A Kurdish state will also spring from the ashes.

Which is why I have already said, Assad has lost the war.

Aleppo is about to fall, Assad bolstered by Russia is about to ....fall ? Says who mate ?
Your entire analysis on Syria is and has been utterly flawed . Only Assad can possibly return Syria to some sort of stability. The rebels, as Trump said, are an unknown entity. Their demise is fast approaching, let us hope that it comes sooner than expected so that the killings can stop. Enough suffering enough killing. Syria must be allowed to chart its own destiny and not be dictated by a bankrupt Western policy.

You have allowed your insatiable hatred of Putin and Russia to dictate your views, views that you must know are NOT shared by a single forum member.

You are incorrect!

the FACT is, Aleppo hasn't fallen yet, and you've been saying it is about to fall for over a year now. You have always been incorrect and swallowed the propaganda which you have been fed. The media say Aleppo is going to fall, because they want intervention. And intervention is only round the corner.

The bigger question is how will the regime maintain peace and security in Syria with so many enemies now, and how does he intend on stopping the Coalition partitioning the country?

He has no chance. All his forces are committed now, with no reserves. if his forces leave Aleppo, then the rebels go on the offensive, and don't forget the kurdish Rebels who will take over on our say so once the YPG move further south and create a bridge.

Assad is not in a good place.

Without a political solution, the regime will be chasing its own tale from one end of the country to the next while we take over Raqqa.

Syrian Rebels Massacre Christian Village

While President Obama’s administration weighs overt military aid to Syrian rebels, the true character of the revolution underway in that country is becoming horrifically clear. Numerous press reports are providing details of a massacre perpetrated by the Free Syrian Army that annihilated the entire population of a Christian village.

As the New York Times reported last December, anti-American sentiment has grown among the rebel organizations even as the American government has played a key role in propping up the rebellion. A crucial step in that support was the administration’s decision to give formal recognition to rebel organizations — a step just short of recognizing them as the legitimate government of Syria. But now, those rebels Obama has vehemently supported are now proving that in Syria — as in Egypt several years ago — the rebels may prove worse than the tyrants they struggle to overthrow."

Wake up mate, these so called rebels are nothing more than islamist jihadis.

Can I ask you this, do you thing that anyone on this forum shares your views on Syria ? I think definitely NOT, what do you think mate ?
