Why so little talk of the Italian referendum in the media?

Which is better, civil war or Trump?

Trump, i guess, because neither is a factor individuals can take hold of by acts in their daily lives.
I suppose the media generally have a bottom line to think about, Trump is far easier than discussing topics like the money in your pocket, Lira, Euro, Dollar, Yen, Yuan, or Pound.
...he's not even President yet, no honeymoon of a hundred days, it is scary what he must do to be a Great President; oldest man to be elected President?
...you can't write this stuff, can you?

...news-wise, they are not killing and maimed, beside celebrity, that seems to be what is relevant nowadays.
