This is how I see things going down.
The Turks are already sending signals that they are using they same old strategy which will probably lead to the same old outcome. Several red lines exist that will not be acceptable to the Cypriots. I also think they will withdraw their EU membership application next year. So that leverage for Cyprus on her will be gone. Not that it had any affect on her anyway. The current format of the talks will change. Cypriots do not [really] want a BBF and its extortionate divisive trimmings. They want a unified country with all its trimmings. So when the Turks say its the last chance, they might be right to a certain extent but only the last chance for a worse solution than what Cypriots already have today. What they actually mean is its the last chance for the TC's. The TC's will get marginalized even further.
Turkey will become more facist and go it alone and try to expand in to new territories thinking this will make her more powerful. Some Turkish ministers have alluded to Greek islands and they are already in Cyprus, Syria and Iraq.
I only hope that the free areas of Cyprus remain immune to their madness because any way they can get in they will try it. They cant do it by fullfilling their obligations towards the copenhagen criteria, but they will try by hook and crook. This goes for Europe in general and Cyprus as the back door.
It will all ultimately lead to the loss of life, the collapse of their economy and their demise.
