They had to spend some time under the rule of these degenerates first, so that everybody would want to see the back of them. If the US had gone in, Rambo style, with ground troops straight away, they would have been seen as the aggressor in much of the Arab world, and this would have produced a huge groundswell of support for the Daesh terrorists. It is sad, but they had to be given time to prove themselves to be the monsters that they are. I also support the policy of only using local ground troops. It is taking longer, but the long-term consequnces will be far healthier.
No I haven't forgotten.
We tread cautiously rather than taken a sledge hammer to the place. It's the same in Mosul. The Sunnis regarded DAESH as liberators until they got to know DAESH a bit better only to find they were worse and then some.
It only just goes to show the oppression the Sunnis must have endured in order for them to embrace DAESH.
I think there will be a lot of people in Raqqa seeing Coalition aircraft over the top and our forces at the gates. Apparently, their entry into the outskirts is imminent. God speed!
And yes, you are correct! I admit I was wrong. It's lucky the Coalition took their time to think this through properly. It looks like they did their homework very well. They would have been seen as the aggressor and every single Sunni would be against us and DAESH would be far stronger.
