Governments everywhere will move in an authoritarian direction, and those that are already authoritarian will move in the direction of fascist dictatorships. What's happening today in Turkey is what's coming everywhere in the next couple of decades.

I would expect nothing else, no. I wouldn't say that at all. He isn't sanctioned by the US. They are just unwilling to be as interfering as they use to be in the 60s and 70s.

Erdogan is a pretty big pain in the backside too, so he does have his enemies in the American Establishment and Deep State.

French journalist Olivier Bertrand has been arrested in Turkey.

A French journalist was arrested in Turkey on Friday, his employer said, in a move that comes against a background of journalist detentions in the country following an attempted coup in July.

I’ve started to tap into Erdo’s mindset… journalists are terrorists because they terrorize the nation by exposing the ruling regime.

I say hang the French fool... if not for his terrorist activities then for being dumb enough to go to Turkey!
