Should the World have a vote in the USA elections?

Postby GreekIslandGirl » Tue Oct 25, 2016 2:47 pm

That should be the price for being a Global Superpower.

If the USA can come over to Europe and influence our Politics, if it can stir up change in the Middle East and Africa, if it can build up military in the East and basically run the World - shouldn't the people of the World get to choose who Heads that Superpower State?

I would like a vote in the USA elections, please!

How far would you like to take it? How about the world voting in eg Chinese or Russian Elections? Opening up voting like this has also sorts of ramifications: would you agree to reciprocity whereby e.e 235 million Americans get to Vote in the election of the Cypriot president, or, even worse 56 million Turks?

Rather lets let the world elect you president of Cloud-Cuckoo land, where you live most of the time...

That's the same in most countries - for example, in the UK shadows, for the appearance of continuity, lurk the civil servants, the un-elected House of Lords, the Queen and her family ...

The POTUS is, has always been, will always be, a figurehead.

The USA dfoes not shape anyone's politics.

The EU and many other non EU States are in alliance with the USA? Partners if you like.

When has the US shaped Cypriot or Greek Politics or any other country for that matter in the last 30 years. it doesn't.

But it is a superpower and it has its influence. A lot more influence than has been exercised in the last 8 years.

And you can say a big THANK YOU! Because the alternative is debauchery. Imagine if Pootin was the Superpower. You will be begging for the USA the very next day, and to top it all off, if it were not for idiotic Trump, you would want to vote Republican.

Look at the Mosul Offensive. Have you seen any relentless Coalition Air Strikes within Mosul? Have you seen them bomb civilians, hospitals, use indiscriminate strikes or practically raise the city from the ground? No you haven't! that's because, ISIL are placing civilians on rooftops using them as Human Shields. They know that this is an effective countermeasure against Coalition aircraft.

We know that Mosul will be liberated the hard way. Whilst the Coalition is in the sky, it will only target the easy low lying fruit. A10 Air strikes against Suicide Utilities are a good example of a target they will go for if they are in the area at the time.

It's a huge contrast to what is happening in Syria and the whole world can see it too, which is why the world is about to place sanctions on Syria for all the War crimes.

have a look at the following links, and then tell me if you don't want the USA to play a role.

Meanwhile, you can also feast your eyes on the reports issued in February and June 2016.

And from the United Nations.

It's pretty clear who they blame here:

Proving that “democracy” is nothing but a gimmick.
