You don't know that, neither does anyone else ..... otherwise there would be no need for A-50 and we could just resign, tear up the 28,000 pages of EU directives/rules/legislation and go on our merry way to trade with who we want on mutually beneficial terms. But, apparently it ain't that simple!

What you are implying is that any country wishing to trade with Europe has to have free movement of EU citizens in their country or the EU will impose trade tariffs? But ..... that cuts both ways!

let me give you an example. switzerland has one such an agrement and recently their parliament voted to restrict free movement from the eu. they were infomed that if such a law was implemented, the free trade agreement will be cancelled completely. you cannot have it clearer than that. no eu principles no free access. simples ainit.

Only in your head…EU rules are bent and abused on a daily basis; the EU is probably the 2nd most corrupt entity on the planet.

ie: Hungary doesn’t accept migrants and there’s not a thing the EU can do.

They all pick and choose whatever they want.

And the UK could have got along fine not taking in any more migrants (not that it took in many) and closed off its borders but still stayed in the EU.

However, they needed an excuse for the time bomb about to go off that was created by its overspending, under-working public sleepily ignoring how the bankers/developers/oil merchants were dipping into their tax reserves.

You are comparing apples with oranges
All those agreements were the result of accession negotiations that started from 1992. Switzerland completed the negotiations successfully and was literally an EU member after all is in the exact Center of the EU map, when the Swiss people rejected it in a referendum by a very narrow margin. After that they just postponed their full membership .... Up until very recently Switzerland had not withdrawn it's application for full membership and those agreements remained in effect for obvious reasons.

it has been repeated since often enough, there is no access to the free trade area without eu principles. the reason is very simple. any eu country can block any agreement they wish. who ever you restrict that country will block any agreement that eu may come up with. it aint rocket science. its a bit like water, it can only flow downhill like even terggish water

what they had is neither here or there.

fact they had access to freetrade
fact they had passed a law that would restrict eu workers
fact they have been warned that the moment they implement such a law the agreement will be cancelled.

do try to keep up with the news this was less than 6 months ago.

Are you trying to tell that us that if the UK Brexits while at the same time agrees to free movement, the EU will offer them free trade as well? If yes have a look at other FTA that the EU has signed to realize it's not that simple and those agreements have a hell lot of other conditions. When a country has physical/geographical connection with the EU free Trade DOES NOT EQUAL free movement and vise versa, have a look at your Tergy begging the EU to lift the visa. Turkey itself unilaterally zeroed all tariffs from the EU decades ago in an effort to become "European" hahaha

eu does allow countries to have derrogations, uk had them and blocked the polish the bulgarians and the romanians for 10 years from freely entering the uk but they had to go. sooner or later they will be removed from hungary too although why anybody should wish to live there is open to question.

as to corruption of course there is corruption, show me any place on earth that has no corruption.
