Sorry, but as a (1) refugee and (2) a 100% Cypriot, and (3) a citizen of Cyprus, I flatly refuse to accept such idiocy and treason.

I understand you are none of the above which would explain your stance.

Well I suggest you join the other heroes and cross the Green Line with your rifles and take it back then - you then risk losing the whole bloody island. When your generation has passed away future generations will piss on your graves for your obstinacy, you should live up to your name and get real.

As for my "status" I have lost property in the north and I'm 50% Cypriot, I don't need your consent to express my views here or anywhere else.

Well I don’t know anyone on this side of the roadblock who has the slightest interest in accommodating Turkey into their lives and Cyprus doesn’t have to accept anything and will most likely sit and wait for favorable geopolitical developments such as...

1. The planned removal of US nukes from Turkey.

2. Talk of the partition of Turkey.

3. Talk of Turkey’s ejection from NATO.

A few months ago none of the above were being considered but lo and behold they are now!

Sure, but not at *my* expense.

You see, if your "peace and security" means the enslavement of a portion of *my* rightfully inherited territory, then I'm afraid your stay is way too expensive for me.

perhaps some of my tc friends here are right. we cannot live in peace together. it is time to be realistic and go our seperate ways.

Exactly, that's why we're offering discounted ferryboat tickets to Adana.

I too would like to see Turkey out of Cyprus, we hoped/hope the EU would facilitate such a move but it hasn't happened, can we risk another "maybe if" when the talks may be getting somewhere? Turkish Cypriots have a right to be in Cyprus and to occupy territory that is proportionate to their numbers and land ownership. It's nor realistic to expect all Cypriots and their descendants to go back to their pre 1974 homes - unfortunately.

Most people here are not interested in these “talks” and it’s pretty obvious (by their actions) that neither is our government.

The RoC has everything to lose and nothing to gain by entering into agreements with Turkey and Turkey’s minority.

For us Cypriots (those of us living here) it’s like a unanimous decision to just play along despite our disinterest, although we don’t advertise it.

...in any case, Cyprus is Turkey's "National interest".

There is no peace without Turkey and a change in their intention. Only Cyprus, a Cyprus where Cypriots identify themselves as Cypriots can change their intentions.

Turkey will go too far, Cypriots exist, and at that point they will decide to fight, as Cypriots.

Being "Greek", or "Turkish", at that point will take on a different meaning; it will not be so easy to frame the debate between themselves.

Maybe… we’ll never know other than what you tell us here but even if this is the case you have obviously been corrupted into Turkishness somehow, and are thus a foreign-serving liability for Cypriotism, and unfortunately I don’t have a magic wand to correct that.

So in the eyes of the average native Cypriot your status remains:

“Antagoniser, Agitator, Undesirable”

Sorry. :?
