Al Qaeda is pretty much history nowadays. But it never claimed to be a state with territory like Daesh does/did. And it the latter has already been almost entirely kicked out of Anbar, the people in Mosul appear to have taken control back of the streets from the invaders and the city's liberation appears to be imminent, the successful liberation of Manbij - which Deash sacrificed more than 4,000 of its useful idiots in its ranks in defending because it understood its importance - has now completed the noose around Raqqa which will be slowly tightened. Its attempts to establish itself in other places like Egypt and Lybia, the latter being the place that most of the cowardly leadership decamped to when they saw the writing was on the wall leaving the battle in Iraq and Syria to the useful idiots, lies in ruins with Lybian forces about to retake Sirte. As to the useful idiots themselves, their morale is at rock bottom and most want to flee but are too afraid of the consequences. It's all over, although a few isolated mentally disturbed individuals will continue to engage in acts of terrorism and say they did it in the name of one of the stupid euphemisms used by Daesh in the vain attempt to glorify that twisted genocidal band of misfits.
