In the past people didn’t live very long like today so everything happened fast. You’d marry fast, you’d have a dozen kids and you’d live just about long enough to see *them* married off very young and that’s how it was!

Even as recent as your grandmother or great grandmother, they were probably married off at around 12-14.

That’s exactly why I never judge the Quran… or any other holy book for that matter. I’ve got bibles, the Quran, and the Torah leaning against each other in my library and I treasure them all.

At the *very least* they are priceless ancient manuscripts... even if some of their content doesn't make sense or raises controversy.

As adults we need to get PAST any discrepancies, controversies, or fallacies in holy books that we may come across, and start thinking…

* Can any portion of this book be connected with God?

* Did parts of it come from God and then a bunch of people added their own bits unauthorized?

* How much of it was lost through translation over the centuries?

The theory of a God is definitely worth an academic investigation by every adult, and do take note that I don’t suggest an ecclesiastical or scientific investigation as I don’t believe that either of these can provide answers.

We owe it to ourselves to look into this matter and with a more open academic mind.

PS: Things that don’t sound right can be temporarily excused as things that were added later unauthorized, so don’t get bogged down by anything controversial. Just ignore it temporarily and press on with the investigation.

oh but i do. when I was at college back in the 70s we did an experiment, where by a text of about 700 words was read out to a person which in turn was told to pass on the content to the next person verbally. after 6 people the text was totally lost and reduced to about 30 words.

that is a proven fact. try it sometimes. you might learn something.
