Can you defend what I quoted from Genesis?

Genesis doesn't need defending from the comments you made.

Why would I retract perfect logic?

It simply says that one must first clear up in their head if there's a God or not and then act accordingly. If there's a God proceed to read his message (the bible) and if not then don't!

Why would you start reading someone's message if you're not convinced of its authenticity?

It is not a technical manual, its a fairytale.

A promise and a warning by those who created and administer the religion. A way to keep under control the stupid masses while those at the helm declare themselves as Saints and other forms of "mini Gods" and reap the benefits.

The bible is dangerous in your hands because you are prone to misinterpretation because you don’t have the prerequisite background knowledge to understand it just as ISIS is doing with the Quran and wreaking havoc in the ME.

That’s why it’s imperative that you conduct your own research so as to find the truth without any influence from religions.

I did just that between the ages of 22/23 and 30, so for 7 years I slaved away intensely to get answers so as to satisfy my insatiable curiosity.

In the end I got the answers and now I’m glad I put in the labour.

One thing you don’t wanna do though is mock God… you gotta leave a little window open just in case!

Scientists today can explain some of it but not everything. But you and your religion can't explain anything because you are stuck 2000 years in the past. What religion does, create a fairytale to fill a gab in our knowledge, is the easiest thing in the world. I can do that too just as easily. And this is exactly why those old Bible fairytales sound so ridiculous today. Because after 2000 years we found the real truth about many things that were unknown back then and the gab of that knowledge was filled with God fairytales that have nothing to do with reality.

Given that the bible was translated profusely down the centuries from the original scripts, you’ve got to allow some room for human error in the course of all those translations, so if something doesn’t make perfect sense it’s not the end of the world.

Well I *was* gonna take you on a multi-faceted journey to make you aware of things you probably haven’t heard of before which all come together in the end… but if you keep derailing the thread with stupid things then I get bored!

I don't need to, I have my belief system and that's enough for me, if you don't believe, that's your problem, and the burden is upon you to show me. Again otherwise you and the other non believers are just pissing in the wind.

We can't explain why things happen the way they do otherwise we would be God. We are but mere humans.
