justice in the roc

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

justice in the roc

Postby Lordo » Mon Aug 08, 2016 9:52 pm

justice not only must be done but it must also be seen to be done.

who is petrides and what does he mean by this?

Petrides accepts that such incidents can “be used by extreme nationalist groups to sabotage negotiations and any efforts to reach a settlement (of the Cyprus problem)”.

But he warns the overall circumstances are delicate.

“We must be careful not to provide extreme groups with the excuse of utilising such incidents, otherwise, the island faces the danger of remaining divided,” he said.

is he really usggesting that if the police takes action against these people the talks are in jepordy. can he be so stupid? or does he think that the sheepriots as as thick as shit.

Petrides is a friend of mine and is an extremely sensible guy, he's not wrong. On the other hand stories such as this from the article

"The men had reported to police that on their way home after a night out in Ayia Napa, they realised they were being followed, and had tried to speed off but had been chased along the Frenaros to Augorou road, near the village of Sotira’s farming area. Their car was repeatedly hit from behind before eventually being brought to a standstill.
The three assailants then reportedly got out of their vehicle and proceeded to beat up the men using batons and further damaging their car. The men, two of whom were slightly injured managed to get away and call the police."

make the case much worse because everyone including the tc's knew that these pissed idiots had a thrown bottles at the security guys of an ayia Napa club. By removing this amount of detail from some of these stories you are taking the credibility away from the entire article. There have been incidents and need to be dealt with.

The fact that half our country and our homes are held under military occupation and the gcs wake up every day to the view of pendadaktylos and the Turkish blinking pacman flags with the " oh what a joy it is to be a Turk" ( guess no one asked the authors wife) is quite surprising that there aren't more incidents.

ehem forget about the idiot at ayanapa dt, concentrate on 5 other incidences which the article mentions. particularly the incident of some school childen damaging cars while the people were inside withing view of the police which took no action to protect the tcs.

what about those incidents.

or perhaps the incident where a tc was stabbed in larnaca again with the poilce in the viscinity and no protection. whats worse is no action.

now what about the comment that the roc may be choosing to take no action against these thugs for fear that they may disrupt the talks.

is this correct?
is the roc scareed to take action?

that is how i read his tatement to mean.
